Overview

Discover the wicked history of London, explore lost stories, see famous sights and find hidden gems, all with a bewitching guide!

Are you ready to learn historical facts? Are you ready to be thoroughly entertained? Join this spellbinding experience that takes you along Southwark’s Southbank from London Bridge across the River Thames to St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Your costumed witch guide will enchant you on this journey to the past. Lend your ears to tales of the unexpected, stories of London’s real witches and the great injustices that befell them. Scuttle across the cobbles as you uncover the truth about Nicholas Culpepper – people’s herbalist or bad boy herb doctor? You decide. What about Jinny Bingham, did she deserve the nickname “Mother Damnable”, and who was the real “last witch”…?

You will emerge from the murky shadows of London Bridge and skirt the edges of Borough Market. Follow closely on the heels of your witch guide as you twist and turn your way past an ancient ship and a ruined Palace. Hurry along the infamous and dreaded Clink Street. Marvel at the breathtaking, iconic landmarks across the river Thames and pass by a dramatic Elizabethan playhouse. Stick close to your coven as you traverse the Thames towards the magisterial St. Paul’s Cathedral on this journey packed with true stories, history and entertainment.

In a tour that brings together history, magic, and a sense that we can learn from the past, you are sure to fall in love with this historic part of the city, its hidden gems and fascinating (sometimes chilling) history.

You may even see some famous filming locations from Harry Potter along the way!

*Please note this is an outdoor walking tour so dress for the weather, my dears.

Enlightening and Entertaining

Had a great time! The witch escorting us was Emelda, who was lovely, sweet, and very knowledgeable about the topic. We were the only ones who booked that night, and instead of canceling it we had a private tour, where we saw many interesting places and heard their stories, as well as reccomendations for the rest of our visit! Overall had an amazing tour with humor and interesting stories, highly recomended!
