Your costumed witch guide will enchant you on this journey to the past. Lend your ears to tales of the unexpected, stories of Yorkshire’s real witches and the great injustices that befell them. Scuttle across the cobbles as you uncover the truth about Mary Bateman – wise woman or murderer? You decide. What about John Wrightson, was he really a “Wrong-son”? And did Margaret Clitheroe really deserve her fate…?

Follow closely on the heels of your witch guide as you twist and turn your way through York’s winding gates (streets) and snickelways. Make you way through King’s Square and along bookbinders alley. Marvel at the breathtakingly iconic Minster, and pass by a pub where a very famous plotter lived. Stick close to your coven as you learn of hauntings, meet a little devil and discover buildings hidden away for decades, on this journey packed with true stories, history and entertainment.

Once the tour has finished you’ll be whisked off and escorted by our witch guide to The Potions Cauldron on Shambles for an extra special immersive Cauldron Experience, taking place in a Secret Potion Room inside the shop.

Get lost in another world as special effects take you on a journey of discovery… you’ll learn the history of the “World’s Most Magical Drinks Emporium” whilst in house Wizards mix you a magical (non-alcoholic) drink (slushy) of your choice. A great experience to make family memories.
